About the Scholarship

French Government Excellence Scholarship. It does not cover tuition fees, but provides a monthly stipend, travel tickets, and insurance.
The most famous scholarship around the world for the master’s and doctoral levels.
To begin studying at one of the most prestigious and powerful universities in the world, including the prestigious Sorbonne University.
You can apply for it via the website between October and December of each year (taking into account the dates of each university separately).
Duration of the scholarship:
Master’s: one or two years and up to 3 years for engineering.
Doctorate: between 12 and 36 months depending on the student’s status (new start or continuing study)

Requirements

The scholarship is intended for foreign students.
It cannot be combined with another grant from the French government.
Master’s: The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
Age less than 27 years when nominated. Students who are already studying in France are not eligible to apply for the Master's degree. It is not possible to be nominated twice for the scholarship at the Master's level.
Doctorate: The applicant must have a master’s degree or its equivalent. Age less than 32 years when nominated. The student can be registered in France or abroad. A holder of an Eiffel Master’s scholarship cannot apply for a doctoral scholarship.
Required documents:
A copy of the passport.
A CV (in French or English).
Certificates and transcripts.
Proof of language proficiency.
Letter of motivation/study or research project.
For PhD: a detailed research proposal (up to 5 pages) + (joint supervision agreement) if any.
Full funding plan in case of Ph.D.
A letter of recommendation to support the file.
All required files must be printed on a colored scanner.
All required previous papers have been translated, amended, and certified by a judicial and external authority.
Evaluation criteria:
Academic and research excellence.
The quality of the French university institution and its international plans.
The student’s experiences and research must be commensurate with the program he is applying for.
