Safita – City of Towers and Castles

Safita is located in the Tartous Governorate, northwest Syria, at an altitude of over 400 meters above sea level. The city is famous for its iconic "Safita Tower", a medieval structure that was part of a castle belonging to the Knights Hospitaller. The square-shaped tower rises 28 meters high and overlooks breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Safita also contains many ancient churches, Roman and Byzantine ruins, as well as green landscapes and dense forests. The region is known for olive and citrus cultivation, making it an excellent tourist destination for history, nature, and tranquility lovers.
